Emerging Style Designer Award — The ALLELES Style Studio
A fashion design studio in a box, with stencils for stylish outfits, stickers, transfers and patterned paper to make lovely outfits, and a colourful book full of dolls to dress. Social, cultural, financial and industrial components are discussed along with big art movements that contributed to the improvement of fashion, and as precursors of modern style trends. Every year, the style show receives rave testimonials from skilled designers, the style press, guests and the Qatar neighborhood. Two alumni, Selina Farooqui and Dana Ahmed had been invited to showcase their collections in the fall 2012 Wills style week. Students learn to illustrate complicated style groups combining digital and manual skills in preparation for Senior Portfolio.
